APC condemns Mbaka’s transfer by Enugu Catholic Diocese

The APC has condemned the transfer of popular Enugu cleric, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka from Christ the King Parish in the Government Reserved Area, GRA, of the state to Our Lady Parish in Emene, a suburb of the state.
In a statement released today January 31st, the spokesperson of the APC South-East zone, Osita Okechukwu, condemned Mbaka's transfer and alleged that the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo influenced Mbaka’s transfer to a new parish where he will serve under someone else.

A Russian jet has AGAIN violated Turkey's airspace, despite several warnings, according to Turkish officials.
The Turkish foreign ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador after the alleged incident on Friday.
Officials said the plane was warned in Russian and in English before entering Turkey's airspace.
"A Su-34 plane belonging to the Russian Federation air force violated Turkish airspace at 11:46 local time yesterday (Friday)," the foreign ministry said.
Its statement went on to say that the Russian ambassador had been summoned to the foreign ministry to "strongly protest and condemn" the violation.

It was an exercise laced with emotions yesterday as fiery catholic priest; Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka was escorted by thousands of catholic faithful in Enugu to his new parish at Emene, an outskirt of Enugu urban.
The faithful gathered at the Christ the King,CKP, GRA, Enugu as early as 7.00 am, preparatory for the movement. Several lorry loads, buses and cars, all line the street in what could be dubbed a triumphal exit that halted economic and other activities along major streets where the long convoy passed.
With several music provided by the various band groups, the over four hours journey began, amid wailing by members, who were apparently unsatisfied with the transfer that has removed Mbaka from the CKP, where he had been since 1996

He said he does his research on how to assembly aircraft by himself and decided to put it to test. 
He even installs a camera on them which he uses to survey his environment and has developed his own special fuel for his aircraft. Amazing.

A British Airways pilot has been hailed a hero for landing his plane safely after the landing gear failed.
Airport officials have apologised to passengers after the technical fault meant Flight BA 295 could only use one runway for a time on Saturday, causing disruption to flights.
The flight was two hours into its journey from London to Chicago when it was diverted for "technical reasons".
It was met by fire engines and the experience described as "quite scary" by one passenger.
Ben de Pear said the captain explained to passengers the plane landed on three sets of wheels instead of five.

Mother loses wedding ring and found it in her son's body system

A Reddit user - said his wife was her ring and searched everywhere, but couldn't find it. She then decided to take their toddler to her GP ‘just in case’. He didn't say how old the baby was.
The GP X-rayed the child - and the lost wedding ring was clearly visible.

Anglican Pastor dies hours before a burial service he was supposed to officiate

Venerable Stephen Eseteru Ogue, JP, 53, of St. John’s Anglican Church, Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government  Area of Delta State and author of several Christian books died at about 7.45 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015, two hours  before he was supposed to officiate at a funeral service.
He reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away at Lily Hospital, Deco Road, Warri. His first  daughter, Oghenenyoreme Ogue, said he had been suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.

EFCC operative arrested for collecting N45m bribe from indicted military officers

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested one of its operatives, Abdulrahman Mohammed Biu, a Deputy Detective Superintendent for allegedly collecting $150,000 (about N45 million) from seven yet to be named military officers currently under investigation for their involvement in the $2.1 billion arms procurement fraud.

A 12-year-old girl was raped at knifepoint by a man claiming to be a police officer, detectives said.
The man, who was riding a bike, stopped a girl in Sandhurst Road, Edmonton, at about 5.30pm on Wednesday and claimed to be an officer, it has been claimed.
He said she matched the description of a shoplifter and that he needed to search her, police said.
As he carried out the search he is then accused of threatening her with the knife and raping her.

The bodies of retired bank manager Raymond Shepherd, 76, and his wife Paula Shepherd, 70, were found lying next to each other on their bedroom floor almost three weeks after anyone last saw them.

Dad arrested for seizing his daughter's phone as a punishment

                     

When Ronald Jackson found a text he thought was rude and inappropriate on his then-12-year-old daughter’s phone in September 2013, he took the cell away. But the child’s mother, Michelle Steppe, got mad at his action and she called the police.
WFAA reported that the 36-year-old, who hails from Grande Prairie, Texas, had been charged with theft of property of at least $50 but under $500 after confiscating his daughter’s iPhone 4 when he found an inappropriate text in September 2013.

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps to partners with DPR to enforce new petrol pump price in Anambra

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Anambra, says it will work with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) to ensure oil marketers complied with the N86.5 per litre approved price for petrol.
Mr Godwin Omoregie, Anambra NSCDC Commandant, gave the assurance on Thursday in Awka, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He said that the command would provide security support for the DPR to compel marketers to comply with the approved pump price.

Drama as sex workers beat up policeman in Lagos

An Apapa Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos on Tuesday arraigned two sex workers for allegedly assaulting a law enforcement agent in Lagos.

The prosecutor, Inspector Tony Elibeh, told the court that the accused, 22-year-old Paul Dominica and Aneka Chioma, beat up a policeman simply identified as Sergeant Usang and also tore his uniform while performing his duty.

FBI arrested an American muslim man who plotted attack against a temple and Israelis

A Milwaukee man arrested on a charge of trying to buy machine guns to carry out an attack on a Masonic temple also wanted to travel to the Middle East and kill Israelis but abandoned that plan as unworkable, federal agents said in court documents.
Federal prosecutors charged 23-year-old Samy Mohamed Hamzeh on Tuesday with unlawfully possessing a machine gun and receiving and possessing firearms not registered to him.
