Taraba Governor Suspends 7 District Heads Over Land Allocation to Non-indigenes

Governor Darius ishaku of Taraba state has suspended 7
district heads for allocating lands to migrants from Zamfara,
Kano, Jigawa ,Sokoto,Yobe and Niger states.
Darius announced the suspension of the traditional rulers
during a meeting with Emirs and chiefs in his office,
He said the migrants have become security threat to the
state and were responsible for armed robbery, kidnapping
and cattle rustling in the state.
"crime wave especially armed robbery,cattle
rustling,kidnapping and other related criminal activities are
on the increase as a result of the influx of illegal migrants
from these states"Darius stated.
The traditional rulers suspended were district heads of
Kungana,Takalafiya and Maihula as well as village head of
sabon Dale all in Bakundi chiefdom.
Others were district head of Tella and village heads of
Sandirde and Taka Wurkun in Gassol chiefdom.
